About ArchiLinks
We build link data for people who work on site structure, migrations and redirects, and who would rather call an API than open another dashboard.

What we do
ArchiLinks is a REST API and a free online explorer for backlinks, referring domains, anchor text, top pages and a 0-100 Domain Rating. Responses are JSON.
Our data comes from our own crawler and our own index, refreshed roughly once a month. We repeat it because it matters. A link created last week may not show yet.
Pages are runbooks. The pages on this site are runbooks for the problems technical teams bring to us. They are written by the ArchiLinks research team and dated, and we change them when the facts change. Each runbook names the call it uses, the credit cost of that call and the point at which a result should be checked by hand, so a reader can repeat the work next month without asking anyone how it was done.
Who it is for
Our readers are the people who get the call when traffic drops after a release. Technical SEOs, platform engineers and agency developers all land here with the same worry: did we lose links when the URLs changed?
So the site is organised around that worry. The migration checklist covers a move from the first crawl to day 45, the redirect map recipe ranks old URLs by the links they hold, and the API scripts turn both into jobs you can schedule.
We do not sell links and we do not promise rankings. Google updates its systems several times a year, including the core updates of March and August in recent years, and no tool can promise how a page will react.
How we think about it
Cheap enough to script
1 credit is $0.0001, so a thousand cheap calls cost ten cents.
Free where it should be
Domain, overview, stats and suggest calls need no key.
Honest about limits
For keywords, rank tracking and daily-fresh crawls, Ahrefs and Semrush are fuller products. We cover link data.
Dated and owned
Every page shows an update date. When a fact changes, such as a Search Console report name, we edit the page and change the date.
How we handle the numbers
We give you counts, not scores wrapped in mystery. Domain Rating here is round(100 times log(ref_domains + 1) divided by log(2 times 10 to the 7th)), a log scale on referring domains. It is our metric. It resembles Ahrefs DR or Moz DA in spirit and is not the same number.
That is why we suggest you compare like with like. Use our DR across your own prospect list or your own migration diff, and do not mix it with a figure from another tool in the same sheet.
Pricing follows the same logic. There is no subscription and no monthly minimum, and a call is billed once whatever the number of rows. Ahrefs sells API units inside subscriptions from $129 a month for 200,000 units, which suits a different kind of team. We suit scripts, diffs and one-off audits.
Corrections are welcome. If something here looks wrong, tell us through your account page and mention the page and the figure so the text can be fixed. Fixes are made on the page itself and the update date moves with them.
